Walls holds a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology from the University of California, Riverside, where he cultivated a passion for understanding human behavior, language, and cultural dynamics. His interests are Linguistic Anthropology and Sociolinguistics. As part of his academic journey, he contributed to the Youth Citizenship Narrative Project, serving as an interviewer to gather qualitative data and explore the stories that shape youth identities and civic engagement. 

Years ago, during a therapy session shortly after being laid off from a job, Walls and his therapist began brainstorming what kind of business he might start. In a moment of synchronicity, they both said, “Comedy.” It was a natural fit—Walls had an uncanny ability to keep his therapist laughing as he navigated life’s challenges. That spark of recognition led him to pursue a career in stand-up comedy, launching him into a world that would define the next two decades of his life. 

Walls became a professional comedian, performing on stages across Northern and Southern California and honing a sharp sense of timing and awareness in front of diverse audiences. His career highlights include starting a comedy band with renowned comedian and actor Craig Robinson and performing alongside comedy greats such as Dave Chappelle and Katt Williams. Walls also had the honor of opening for legendary performers, including the “Godfather of Soul,” the late James Brown, and the iconic Isley Brothers. 

While thriving in the entertainment industry, Walls also leveraged his business acumen. Which included working for a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and later a Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB), securing multi-year contracts in both the public and private sectors engaging with Diversity and Inclusion Procurement Officers. These roles deepened his understanding of the importance of diversity and collaboration in achieving organizational success. 

At the core of Will’s work is the belief that innovation is the most powerful force for growth and transformation. True innovation requires not just new tools or strategies, but new ways of thinking, communicating, and collaborating. By fostering environments where diverse voices and perspectives are valued, Walls champions innovation as a strength that propels society forward in an ever-changing world.
